Privacy. In plain English.
We collect as little as we can to make your page work, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted whenever you like.
Who we are
See you Sunday (“we”, “us”) runs seeyousunday.link, where people make a page inviting friends to church. We decide how the information below is used, which makes us its “controller” under UK data protection law. You can reach us any time at alex@seeyousunday.link.
If you make a page
We keep:
- Your email address, to sign you in. If you continue with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
- What you put on your page: your link, name, photo, church, words, links, events and anything else you add. Your page is public, so anyone with the link can see it.
- Whether you’d like news from us, if you ticked the box. You can change your mind any time.
We use these to run your page and your account. The legal basis is that we need them to provide the service you asked for, and, for news emails, your consent.
If you visit a page
- Visit counts. We count visits and clicks so the page’s owner can see how it’s doing. To count each visitor once a day without a cookie, we mix your IP address and browser details with the date and keep only the scrambled result. It changes every day, so it can’t be used to follow you, and we don’t keep your IP address.
- Your rough location, for maps of your area such as “Find an Alpha”. It comes from your IP address, is only accurate to your town, and isn’t stored.
- Messages and prayer requests. If you send the owner a message, we keep your name, how to reply to you and what you wrote. A prayer request keeps only what you wrote. Only the page’s owner sees these, in their dashboard.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running pages that work and showing owners how they’re used, and, for messages, that you chose to send one.
How the site is used
We use Vercel’s Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages people visit and how fast they load. They don’t use cookies, don’t record anything you type, and can’t identify you. We strip anything after the “?” in addresses before they’re sent.
Cookies
We only use cookies to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, so there’s no cookie banner to click through.
Music, videos and maps
Pages can show players from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Vimeo, and maps from Mapbox. These load from those companies, who receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Players only load as you scroll near them, and YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
Who else handles it
We never sell your information or share it with advertisers. We use these services to run the site:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage.
- Vercel: hosts the site and measures how it’s used.
- Google: if you continue with Google.
- Resend: sends sign-in emails.
- Mapbox: draws maps.
Some of these are based in, or store information in, the United States. Where that happens, they protect it with the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and page until you delete them. Deleting a page from your dashboard also deletes its visit counts and messages straight away. To delete your whole account, email us and we’ll do it within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, take a copy, or object to how we use it. Email alex@seeyousunday.link and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
You need to be at least 13 to make a page. Anyone can visit one.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you by email if it’s a big change. See also our terms.
